It all started when…

I didn’t grow up with a plan.

As a teenager, I stumbled into the world of construction without a roadmap—like Bambi on ice: wide-eyed, unsure, but quietly determined to stay upright.

I didn’t know what BIM was. I didn’t know buildings had data.

But I did know how it felt to move through spaces shaped by people I’d never meet—

and to wonder who they were, how it all came to be, and whether I could belong in that world.

I didn’t see people who looked like me in those spaces.

But it didn’t stop me from imagining myself into them.

That quiet imagination became the thread that guided me forward.

And today, it forms the heart of everything I do through ThreadPoint.

About Willow Williams

Willow Williams is a digital strategist, educator, and storyteller working at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and imagination.

She is the founder of ThreadPoint Studio, a creative platform that reimagines how we introduce systems thinking, AI, and infrastructure to the next generation—through storytelling, strategic clarity, and inclusive design.

Willow’s career spans over a decade in digital construction and information management. From BIM coordination to regional digital strategy, she has led delivery across major programmes in the UK and EMEA, including high-security and mission-critical environments.

She currently works client-side in the data centre sector, where she leads information strategy for multi-site programmes and supports scalable delivery across regions. She holds a Master’s in Building Information Modelling (BIM) Management and Integrated Project Delivery.

Her work explores the balance between artificial intelligence and human intelligence—a relationship she defines as the ThreadPoint: the space where structured systems meet the fluid realities of how we actually live, learn, and make sense of the world. This ethos underpins all her work, drawing on principles from neuroscience, systems thinking, and inclusive education.

Beyond the Studio

Willow is also the founder of ThreadPoint Foundation, a not-for-profit initiative that expands access to digital literacy through cognitively inclusive, story-led learning. Its work focuses on helping children—and now teens and educators—understand the invisible systems that shape their world, from cloud infrastructure to smart cities and AI.

As Global Head of Education at Women in BIM, Willow leads efforts to increase access to digital careers and raise visibility for underrepresented voices across the built environment.

A published author, public speaker, and thought leader, Willow is known for translating complexity into clarity—and helping others navigate the future with creativity, strategy, and care.

Off the Page

Outside her work, Willow finds joy in tennis, reformer Pilates, long walks in nature, getting lost in a good book, and exploring museums or spaces rich in quiet history.
