Facilitator (Lead Educator)

ThreadPoint Foundation delivers story-led STEM workshops that help children understand where the internet “lives” - using storytelling, LEGO, and gentle digital literacy.
We’re looking for warm, confident facilitators to lead our workshops with children aged 5–11.
What You’ll Do
Lead the full ThreadPoint workshop experience
Read the storybook Where the Internet Goes to Sleep
Guide children through LEGO and creative activities
Maintain an inclusive, calm learning environment
Work closely with a Workshop Assistant
Represent ThreadPoint in schools, libraries, and community spaces
You’ll Be Great For This If You:
Are confident speaking in front of groups
Are warm, patient, and child-friendly
Have experience in education, performance, youth work OR similar
Are organised and reliable
Have (or can obtain) an Enhanced DBS
Have the right to work in the UK
Nice to Have
SEND awareness
STEM outreach or creative facilitation
Acting/performance background

Workshop Assistant

Our Workshop Assistants support the lead facilitator during children’s workshops - helping set up, guiding children during activities, and ensuring sessions run smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Support set-up and pack-down
Assist children with LEGO and creative tasks
Help maintain a calm and inclusive environment
Work closely with the Facilitator
Wear a high-vis vest so children can identify you
Represent ThreadPoint warmly and professionally
You’ll Be Great For This If You:
Are friendly, patient, and good with children
Are reliable and organised
Are comfortable assisting groups (10–30 children)
Have (or can obtain) an Enhanced DBS
Have the right to work in the UK
Nice to Have
Experience with youth groups, tutoring, or community work
SEND awareness
Interest in creativity, education, or STEM
