We work with schools, libraries, councils, and technology partners to make digital infrastructure simple, magical, and accessible for all.

Facilitator (Lead Educator)

Freelance · London + Surrounding Areas · ThreadPoint Foundation

ThreadPoint Foundation delivers story-led STEM workshops that help children understand where the internet “lives” - using storytelling, LEGO, and gentle digital literacy.

We’re looking for warm, confident facilitators to lead our workshops with children aged 5–11.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full ThreadPoint workshop experience

  • Read the storybook Where the Internet Goes to Sleep

  • Guide children through LEGO and creative activities

  • Maintain an inclusive, calm learning environment

  • Work closely with a Workshop Assistant

  • Represent ThreadPoint in schools, libraries, and community spaces

You’ll Be Great For This If You:

  • Are confident speaking in front of groups

  • Are warm, patient, and child-friendly

  • Have experience in education, performance, youth work OR similar

  • Are organised and reliable

  • Have (or can obtain) an Enhanced DBS

  • Have the right to work in the UK

Nice to Have

  • SEND awareness

  • STEM outreach or creative facilitation

  • Acting/performance background

Workshop Assistant

Freelance · London + Surrounding Areas · ThreadPoint Foundation

Our Workshop Assistants support the lead facilitator during children’s workshops - helping set up, guiding children during activities, and ensuring sessions run smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Support set-up and pack-down

  • Assist children with LEGO and creative tasks

  • Help maintain a calm and inclusive environment

  • Work closely with the Facilitator

  • Wear a high-vis vest so children can identify you

  • Represent ThreadPoint warmly and professionally

You’ll Be Great For This If You:

  • Are friendly, patient, and good with children

  • Are reliable and organised

  • Are comfortable assisting groups (10–30 children)

  • Have (or can obtain) an Enhanced DBS

  • Have the right to work in the UK

Nice to Have

  • Experience with youth groups, tutoring, or community work

  • SEND awareness

  • Interest in creativity, education, or STEM
